The 3rd Annual SongSmith Gathering

The purpose of the Songsmith Gathering, a Looking Glass Entertainment/Mountain Song Productions event, is two-fold. The first is to create an amazing night of song. The second is to generate funds to help finance SAFE’s ongoing work. Great music for a noteworthy cause. You can help make it an even bigger success!

Doors will open at 6pm with Happy Hour and TLC Raffle (Travel, Love, Comforts of Home) followed by an evening of intimate singer-songwriter sharing. Ticket holders will be treated to a gathering of four artists new to the event, playing on the Porter Center stage. Sarah Siskind is a twice Grammy nominated songwriter who has written for Allison Krause and Randy Travis. Singer-songwriter Jill Andrews just had a song featured on “American Idol”. Out of Asheville comes Moses Atwood with a “soulful, gritty, passionate, pleading, tormented and gutsy welcoming into the world” (The Portland Press Herald) and finally Chris Rosser who brings world music influence to his songwriting.
Sponsor support of a charity fundraising event is critical. In this case, the sponsorship monies may help to cover basic utility costs at the emergency shelter, may feed the children uprooted from their homes or may help provide court assistance for victims. It makes sense to put your name in front of 700 attendees and the general public to help guarantee safe haven for those who need it. Be a part of something amazing!
